Modern Dental Care Technology
Using advanced technology doesn’t just make our work more efficient and more precise — it means you can enjoy a more comfortable experience as a patient, too! The Chun Family Dentistry office is outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment that helps us raise the bar when providing dental care.
Digital X-rays
X-rays are a standard tool in the dental industry that we use to identify issues in the teeth, surrounding tissues, and jaw that would either be hard to see or hidden from a routine visual examination.
Some examples of problems we can spot with X-rays include tooth decay around restorations, deep cavities, jawbone infections, gum disease, abscesses/cysts, developmental abnormalities, and some types of tumors.
Chun Family Dentistry uses digital X-rays, because they have numerous benefits over their conventional counterparts. Digital X-rays don’t require any chemical processing, which means we get images faster and it’s easier on the environment. They also emit much less radiation, keeping you safe in our care!
Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a great tool for promoting patient education. We want to help our patients feel confident in their treatment plans, and with this camera, we can show you exactly what we’re seeing. That way, you’ll be able to better understand our diagnosis and professional recommendations since you’ll see close-up images of your own mouth, projected on a screen.
Isolite® System
The Isolite system is designed to help you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout your appointment. There is a place to rest your jaw, making it easier to keep your mouth open as we work on your teeth, and there is a soft, flexible mouthpiece, which protects your tongue and cheeks. On our end, the Isolite’s light eliminates shadows, and its self-aspirating system means we don’t need to use cotton rolls or stop for rinse breaks!
Soft Tissue Laser
Laser dentistry is a revolutionary way to perform a variety of dental procedures, from deep cleanings to gum surgery to cosmetic gum reshaping. With soft tissue lasers, we don’t have to use any scalpels or sutures. Plus, lasers actually help minimize pain, shorten procedure times, and speed up the healing process.
